All CRTs emit small amounts of X-rays. If they are working properly, the amount is not dangerous. It is possible for a defective CRT to emit dangerous levels, but extremely unlikely.

If you use an LCD monitor there is no radiation issue.

My friend, if your computer is emitting RADIOACTIVE waves then you got a serious problem, because this stuff can be stopped by using something like a lead wall. Usually computers are not that extreme and produce another kind of waves :)
Use a modern LCD monitor (well, a thin one), make breaks while working and you are going to be fine.

Computers have no radioactive components and produce no radiactivity at all.

Older CRT displays may produce very small amounts of UV light (not radioactive but potentially harmful) - switch to an LCD display as they produce nothing.

Make yourself a simple sack out of kitchen aluminium foil. Cut holes in it for your eyes, so you can see. That would be sufficient to block any radioactive waves that might be coming out of your computer.

Having done that, I would visit an optician as it is much more likely your headache comes from eyestrain.

By the way, remember to take the protective hood OFF before you enter the opticians.
